A typical pattern for blog articles and news sections. It also incorporates a setup to show related authors and categories. This pattern shows a summary of articles and a specific article in detail. In this pattern we also showcase the recommendations feature in Prepr.

Say quiche

Whether it's for a brunch, dinner or tea party, quiche is the perfect addition and can be extremely easy to prepare and customize to suit your and your guests' taste buds.

Ingredients

  1. 4 Frozen shortcrust pastry sheets
  2. 3 Eggs 
  3. 1 medium Onion
  4. 50g Grated cheese 
  5. 50g Cream cheese
  6. 100g Bacon bits
  7. 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C and put a layer of kitchen wax paper in a 20cm pie dish.
  2. Take out the the pastry to thaw. (They should become malleable, but not too sticky)
  3. Chop the onion and fry with the bacon bits until crispy.
  4. Pinch the pastry sheets together and shape it to fit in the bottom and sides of the pie dish. 
  5. Mix the onion mixture with the cream cheese, thyme and beaten eggs and spoon the mixture into the pie dish.
  6. Top with the grated cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Tips to customize it to your taste.

This recipe is a very basic quiche. Here are some extra tips to add your favorite flavors.

  1. Substitute the bacon bits with macon or vegan bacon or salmon.
  2. Add some of your favorite pre-cooked veggies such as chopped up broccoli, spinach or bell peppers.
